Fairport First Baptist Church

We will start with the Fairport First Baptist Church that unfortunately had to close their doors on May 1, 2022. The church was built in 1876 and features ornamental stone trim, a steeply pitched gray slate roof and 72 original stained glass windows. In 2006, it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and even though it has closed its doors as the Fairport First Baptist Church, the walls of this building for now will continue to stand strong.

Saint Michaels Catholic Church

Early last year, there was talk that Saint Michaels Catholic Church might be closing its doors forever. Because of these rumors, many people took interest in doing something to prevent this from occurring as this is one of three churches in our community that has a Spanish service. The efforts to save St. Michael's has also led to the creation of an organization, Friends of St. Michael's which has pledged that they would take over the responsibility for the church's $113,000 deficit. At this moment, the church is still alive and worth a visit.
